it’s time to sparkle & shine
The common belief is you must never, NEVER, go anywhere near glitter makeup, once you turn a certain age. That age is somewhere between 35 and 40 🤦🏻♀️
I lived by that old adage for a long time, I mean without even testing it for myself. Why? Because “they” say so, just don’t ask me who “they” are. I’ve done a lot of soul searching the past year and part of that is to ask myself why I put more weight on what the proverbial “they” say than I do on my own inner voice.
I say all this to explain how I discovered the utter unmitigated joy of glitter makeup and why I am now so obsessed with it. Of course, part of the reason is that glitter just seems perfect for this time of year, I mean, the Holidays just screams GLITTER!!!!!! 😆

Liquid Metallic Eyeshadow
This one by E.L.F is one of my favorites 🙌🏻 It’s called Liquid Metallic Eyeshadow and it comes In 11 colors, I promise you, I will end up with most, if not all, of them. They are PHENOMENAL. They are super pigmented, come in beautiful colors and shades, have just the perfect amount of glitter, and last all day. One important thing to point out, you do need to give it 30 seconds to a 1 minute to dry, before applying mascara. But, honestly, that’s not too much to ask from a liquid makeup.
while this glitter eyeshadow by E.L.F is probably my favorite, at least right now, there are others that are also great. I’ll devote separate blog posts to each of them, but I am also using them all a bit differently so they may all be glitter, but they aren’t the same product, at least not in the way I am using them.
As I mentioned, glitter makeup is, obviously, perfect for the Holiday Season makeup look, so, will I keep using it once Spring rolls around…. YES! I can almost guarantee you, given how popular these glitter eyeshadows, blushes, etc, are, makeup companies will be coming out with Spring makeup colors and versions of it. And, I will most definitely be trying those, too.
