Better No Younger: Shampoo & Conditioner

I was recently sent a volumizing shampoo and conditioner by Better Not Younger, a company that, in a first, develops hair care products specifically for aging hair that includes not only the Hair Care products, but also, Scalp Care, and Supplements.

Finally, a brand for women over 50, the demographic that gets ignored and thrown away by almost every other brand.

The thing that really stands out, aside from their mission, which is to change the narrative around aging. I love that so much that I would buy their products even if I didn’t like them,

The good news is, I don’t just like the shampoo and conditioner I tried, I LOVE them! I could feel my hair thickening as I was washing it, but that wasn’t even the best part, I generally wash my hair 1-2 times a week as it gets really dry, but three days into the previous washing, my hair was sooooo soft! I swear, it may have even gotten softer and softer as each day passed, and I put additional product in my hair each day, like hairspray and a root touchup to cover my grey.

Volumizes, Lifts, Nourishes

Gentle, sulfate-free volume-boosting shampoo and conditioner designed to increase hair’s body, moisture, fullness and manageability, while strengthening thin strands to diminish breakage.

about better not younger

According to their website, Founder & CEO, Sonsoles, “decided to leave her corporate life behind to launch Better Not Younger. As a woman in her 50s, she questioned whether this was a crazy endeavor, and wondered constantly whether she should retire gracefully, ‘act her age’, and leave entrepreneurship to the kids. it was the amazing community of over 50 women who convinced her that being a woman in her 50s could mean more than cruises and grandkids and above all, that every day is an opportunity to be better and try something new.”

changing the narrative around aging

At Better Not Younger, they “create the first range of hair products that addresses the fact that your hair really changes with age, but more importantly, change the narrative around aging.”

“They see aging as a way of unlocking potential, a daily opportunity to look better and they aim for their brand to speak to an empowered woman that believes you can look better without looking younger.”

All Their Products Are:

  • 100% VEGAN

  • PARABEN-FREE

  • SULFATE-FREE

  • CRUELTY-FREE

I also received their volumizing hairspray, which I plan on trying tomorrow. I will be sure to write up a review on that as well.
