hello halo highlighter; it’s heaven

Raise your hand if you have been as addicted to Bethenny Frankel’s drugstore makeup reviews as I have. I’m already a huge makeup enthusiast, and one of the challenges I have is in knowing whether the high-end makeup products are worth the astronomical amounts of money they charge. Well, actually, I know in many cases they aren’t, because, many of the high-end makeup companies also own the less expensive makeup brands you see at Target, Walgreen, CVS, etc… Many of them are literally the same exact formula, the only difference is the packaging and where they are being sold.

Bethenny tests all kinds of makeup and skincare from foundation, to face oils, and everything in between

Aside from the obvious benefit of having somebody like Bethenny Frankel review the cheaper beauty products and give her honest opinion of them, one of the reasons they hold so much weight is because Bethenny is rich! She can spend thousands on beauty and skincare, and probably does, so it isn’t like she has to buy her makeup at CVS due to budget contraints and is sharing the best of the worst. No, she is saying, in many cases, these products are just as good, if not BETTER, than the more expensive brands. A $10 foundation is better than the pricier $50, or more, luxury makeup product, in fact, several $10, or less, foundations are, according to Bethenny.

But, we’re not here to talk about foundation, at least not today :) I’m here to extol the virtues of one of the other affordable makeup products she reviewed, the Hello Halo Highlighter by Wet n Wild. Yep, you heard me right, Bethenny Frankel raved about a Wet n Wild products 😃

Hello Halo Highlighter by Wet n Wild has become one of my all time favorite makeup products

This MegaGlo liquid highlighter is buildable and delivers a multi-shimmer glow thanks to its shimmering pearl pigments. It is the perfect, and I DO MEAN PERFECT, amount of shimmer, not so much that you look ridiculous in any type of lighting that isn’t akin to a disco circa the 1980s, but not so subtle that it basically isn’t there. When it catches the light, it simply looks like the areas you’ve applied it are being lit by the heavens. That may sound a bit over the top, but it’s honestly how I feel. And, even better, it’s a multi-purpose beauty product, which is always a major plus for me. I use it as eyeshadow and eyeliner as well 🤩 Being gorgeous would be good enough, but that’s not all, it’s also good for your skin! The hydrating formula is infused with powerhouses like Murumuru Seed Butter, Grapeseed Oil, and Vitamin E to help smooth out the skin’s texture.
